HELP GEORGIE KICK CANCER’S BUTT!
FELLOW FACEBOOK FRIENDS,
On the 13th of March I will be taking part in the Surrey Half Marathon, hoping to raise £1000 for theSPRINTfund, a sub charity of Southampton Hospital Charity. They do an excellent job in providing the resources and support for treatment for children with Acquired Brain Injuries, but they need ongoing support to further the incredible work that they are already doing!
Back in 2013 my little and also favourite cousin Robbie was diagnosed with a brain tumour at the age of 8. This was the biggest shock to us all as Kate, Robbie’s mum, had sadly died of breast cancer several years before. He subsequently endured a year’s worth of chemo and radio. Today he continues his battle with cancer with the support of his loving family and friends.
Many children, like Robbs, who suffer from brain injuries need rehabilitative treatment to help improve and restore their cognitive abilities for later in life. And it is at Southampton Hospital that they provide this excellent treatment thanks to the incredible work of theSPRINTfund!
By running this half marathon I hope to raise £1000 for theSPRINTfund to continue the amazing work at Southampton, for children like Robbie who are unfortunate to suffer from a brain injury.
PLEASE HELP ME AND ROBBIE KICK CANCER’S BUTT!!
A million thank yous in advance,
Please give generously to such a fantastic cause…
